Ahh October. So we all know I’m not a huge fan of fall, as seen here, but I appreciate the makeup and fashion beauty that comes with it. The richer colors, the layers, the comfort, yes. I’m a big fan of always trying new hair and makeup products so here’s some that I’ve been loving lately!
Let’s start from the beginning. I grabbed this at the beginning of September, and I’ve really been enjoying it. I use it personally and I’ve been using it on some of my brides and they have all really liked it! It is a bit more sheer than I expected and at first I thought “this is not doing anything.” but once the light hits it the reflectors in it really do cover and it looks natural. Pro tip: The instructions say to wear alone or before foundation. I actually either wear it alone or after foundation. I feel like it works a bit better.
Okay. This product has some major mixed reviews. They very from best thing ever to the worst product ever. I have mine in the satin finish in the medium shade. I’m going to be really real here. I like this product. It’s not a horrible cream contour duo. I love the deeper shade. I’m not a huge fan of the lighter one. I had originally gotten this in the light shade but the deeper side of this was way too yellow. In the medium the lighter side is a bit pink for me and I do use it occasionally but not every time I pull this out. I love how creamy they are and that they blend well and stay put once set.
People. Go get this. Now. Put a pause on reading my blog (please come back though!) and get this. Get it? Good. Here is why I love this. I have been playing with Glow Kits and have loved them, but I was waiting until I loved one to invest in one. I saw this one and could not wait to get my hands on it. It’s beautiful. The shades are stunning. All 6 are super wearable and it doesn’t take much to get a gorgeous glow from them. If you are in the market for a good highlighter this is it.
Lips last, right? I nabbed this during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty and I am going to have to get more. This is exclusive to Ulta so if you’re looking to grab it you’ll have to get it from them. I love this lipstick, it’s in my top 5 for sure. Its creamy and comfortable, and the gloss gives it a nice shine and really adds to the dimension of color. I’m actually wearing it in my bunhawk tutorial but it is a bit hard to see. To me this in Rogue is the perfect fall berry. Also it is a more traditional lipstick and does print and fade, but it fades nicely and doesn’t give you a look of strong liner. Bonus points-Tarte is a natural line. We all know we eat our lipstick, don’t lie. At least make sure it’s natural.
So what are your fall go to’s and favorite contour duo’s? I hope this gives you an idea of something new! Let me know if you try any of these out, I would love to hear your reviews!
P.S. I have some crazy exciting news coming up and I will need everyone’s help! Love you all.
