If you know me, you know I love traveling.
I’ve seen lots of states (the states high lighted in blue are the ones I’ve been to).
And I’ve spent time in Canada (no passport stamp though!)
But that’s not very many stamps on my passport, in my opinion. I want more.
Here are some of my dream travel destinations.
1. Northern Ireland (again).
Okay sure yeah I spent an entire year there, but I didn’t get enough. I want more time there with the people and places that I love.
Beer and pretzels, am I right? But seriously, Germany is rich in history and beautiful sights. I’d love to see the Holocaust sights, as difficult as it would be, I think it’s important to see.
Vineyards and Roman history, does it get much better? Italy has always been somewhere I wanted to go. And obviously meet an Italian pop star at the Trevi fountain and become a pop sensation like Lizzie McGuire.
I’m not gonna lie, Poland was not really on my list until I was talking to a Northern Irish family and they had recently taken a holiday in Poland and they said, “you would NOT believe the amount of TALL MEN in Poland! I mean, SO TALL.” Well as a girl who is almost 6 feet tall – sign me up! 🙂
I’ve always wanted to see Amsterdam, even though it’s a stereotypical party place, I hear it has a lot of charm and history.
I see pictures of Iceland and I can’t stop staring. I want to visit so bad.
My only regret of my year in Northern Ireland is I never caught a ferry to Scotland. That Scottish accent is pretty great, too.
8. Cape Cod, MA.
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been obsessed with the idea of Cape Cod & Boston. I want to vacation there during the summer and spend a couple weeks driving up the east coast.
I’m pretty sure everyone wants to go to Hawaii. I really want to go to Maui, but I’d go anywhere! Beautiful flowers and beaches! Take me now!
I used to want to travel to Paris so badly. I still would love to see it, but it’s not necessarily at the TOP of my list. I’m not sure why it’s moved down, it just has!
I’ve wanted to go to Greece ever since I watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Lots of people I met in Northern Ireland traveled there and talked about it’s beauty.
12. The Holy Lands.
My dad got to take a trip to the Holy Lands and I’d love to see the places where Jesus walked and taught and healed. I know that land is not the safest to be in, but it’s definitely somewhere I want to go.
I’ve wanted to go to Alaska since I was in Seattle and lots of my friends there talked about how beautiful AK was. I’d love to take a cruise and whale watch!
I’ll start with those 13 for now, but I have a feeling this blog will have a part 2.
What are some of your dream travel destinations? Where have you been that you’d recommend?
Writing this blog made the travel bug bite me. Hard.
I’m ready to go now!
Who’s with me? 🙂
